Black Market III                     aus San Diego

"Scottie Blinn has a new band? No surprises there. The veteran axe-master has been steadily adding to his musical bag of tricks since the Mississippi Mudsharks redefined blues and roots rock for a generation of blues lovers. No, the surprise in Black Market III is the trio's rhythm section: Roxanne Coverdale-Blinn steps out on bass guitar and back-up/lead vocal and Haley Allen provides a no-nonsense bottom end on drums. The two are relative newcomers, but they played like juke joint veterans during their first official gig.

This is the band to watch in 2012."--Dave Good, San Diego Reader. Black Market III is the new band formed by Scottie ‘Mad Dog’ Blinn, former front man for the multi-award winning iconic San Diego band The Mississippi Mudsharks. Black Market III has quickly turned into a red hot band focused on playing hard hitting, soulful Blues, American Roots, and Grease Punk (the vein of Social Distortion and the Clash). BMIII is being touted as "the band to watch" by Dave Good of the San Diego Reader.

Their first full length CD will be released in the spring of 2012, accompanied by European and U.S. touring. Black Market III crosses over, using the Blues as the root of the sound. In addition to their original music, BMIII features more obscure covers from Tom Waits, Wayne Walker, Hank Williams Sr., Leadbelly, Dead Weather, Social Distortion, and many more . No pigeon holing this band--Blues and American Roots firmly planted, yet not like anything
you've heard or seen before.
